Summer’s here… and what better way to celebrate than with this delicious and healthy version of Pina Coladas. Especially when you don’t have to feel guilty about drinking them! These Pina Coladas will go straight to your biceps, not your belly. Best of all, they’re super easy to make!
Let me say right off this isn’t as much of a recipe as it is a reason why you SHOULD be eating this. Seriously, who doesn’t like a juicy, delicious hamburger? You can make this fantastic burger with grass-fed beef or even ground turkey to save on calories. We grilled a few on our little charcoal grill and served it on a whole grain sprouted buns with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. However, the ingredient we will focus on today is blue cheese. Yes…blue cheese!
Shakes go psychologically hand-in-hand with weight loss and good health—they are akin to the rocket fuel of the diet world. I’m not sure why, but an educated guess would be: 1) you aren’t chewing, so you got to skip the first step in the digestive process yet you become miraculously full, making them seem more scientific; and 2) the ingredients are perfectly measured. Measuring calories is the key to success with diet goals; and 3) convenience–consuming a shake is faster than eating, which is perfect for busy on-the-go people.
Gotta love a low-calorie enchilada! Chad would make these for me to give me a treat when I was cutting for a body challenge. They are super delicious! You won’t want to make them if you are cutting sodium, but any other time they make for a great (actually, more like EPIC) option!
