Ask The Trainer #128 – Stacking Kre-Alkalyn Products

QUESTION:

Is it ok for me to take KRE-ALKALYN HARDCORE before my workout and then take regular KRE-ALKALYN and GlutaZorb post work out? Will this have any negative repercussions?

Kyle

ANSWER:

Hi Kyle. Under normal circumstances there shouldn’t be any cause for concern from taking Kre-Alkalyn Hardcore before you work out, then regular Kre-Alkalyn stacked with GlutaZorb afterward. Kre-Alkalyn Hardcore contains the same high quality, pH-buffered form of creatine as the original Kre-Alkalyn, but with the addition of a number of ingredients that have been synergistically formulated to support energy levels, focus, and fat loss.

One Caution

The only caution I would point out when using Kre-Alkalyn Hardcore is that it contains caffeine, along with theobromine and theophylline, which are naturally occurring compounds that help potentate and extend the fatigue combating properties of the caffeine.

Normal, healthy individuals would generally deem these effects to be beneficial. But, not everyone among the general population can tolerate stimulants. Anyone who is hypersensitive to caffeine, or anyone who has been diagnosed with high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, adrenal disorders, or anxiety, should always consult with their physician before considering taking any stimulant containing products.

Glutazorb

GlutaZorb, like Kre-Alkalyn, has been pH adjusted to produce a more stable and absorbable product. Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid that’s synthesized in the human body, it’s extremely safe to stack with other popular supplements, like creatine, whey protein, branched chain amino acids, and pre-workout formulas. In fact, because there is so much existing research demonstrating that glutamine can help prevent muscle tissue breakdown and increase protein synthesis, many bodybuilders and athletes take GlutaZorb before and after each training session.

Incorporate BCAA

Your performance, recovery, and growth would be further enhanced by incorporating a serving of Training Ground BCAA before & after training. For me personally, this is a must! This supplement is also safe to take and won’t negatively interact with any of the other supplements you inquired about.

The only type of supplement you’d be doubling up on would be the Kre-Alkalyn. Now, this isn’t such a bad thing. In fact, it makes complete sense to take Kre-Alkalyn before training to support your energy and power output. And, once more right after your workout to replenish what was lost, and to enhance muscle recovery and growth.

As a general rule of thumb, if you’re a normal, healthy individual, you can take as much creatine as your guts can handle. But, I’m not suggesting you do that though. My only point in telling you this is to illustrate that you’re not going to overdose on Kre-Alkalyn by taking it before and after each workout. In fact, I believe doing so would be a great strategic move.

Just as the case is with any other supplements, there are always exceptions to the rule. Individuals with any type of kidney disorder would definitely want to inquire with their physician before considering using a creatine product. Based on what you’ve told me, I’m guessing you’re not one of these exceptions. If my hunch is correct, then I go for it with this supplement stack!

I wish you all the best of success with your health and fitness goals!
