Sometimes you just gotta have oranges & cream. Here is a recipe that tastes very similar to the popsicles mom used to buy when you were a kid! One of the main differences from those is that these pops are brimming with protein and have no sugar. How does that sound?
To some people in warmer climates they are more than ready to chomp on something cool, whereas it is still pretty frigid where I am. Spring has not sprung yet, no matter what the groundhog said. Regardless of what temperature it is outside, it is always 70 degrees indoors! To me, it is NEVER too cold for ice cream, or ice pops, particularly if they are orange & cream flavored!
In the picture, they appear to have 2 tones. You don’t have to do anything special for them to come out like that, which is just how they will look. The whey must be lighter than the Karbolyn mixture and it floated to the top while the bars were freezing!
Ingredients:
- 2 scoops EFX Sports vanilla Pure Whey
- ½ cup fat free plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract (Extra Rich vanilla extract is the best)
- ½ scoop orange Karbolyn
- 1 packet of stevia sweetener or 1 squirt of liquid stevia
- ½ ice cream pop mold full of water (I will explain in the directions)
- Popsicle mold
- Popsicle sticks
Directions:
Fill half of the popsicle mold with cold water and pour it into the blender. Add everything else and blend well. Pour it carefully into the popsicle mold until each segment is filled most of the way up. Put the cover on, slip in the popsicle sticks, and put it in the freezer for an hour or two. If they are difficult to remove from the popsicle mold, fill the sink up with hot water and immerse it almost all the way for a few seconds. Wiggle one and see if it comes out. When they loosen up, put the rest in a freezer safe container and enjoy as many as your diet will allow!
