Here is a super simple shake that’s ideal for a quick post-workout refuel chug. Having a travel blender is golden so I don’t even have to wait the 7 minutes it takes to get home to refuel post workout. I bring a knife to cut the apple, the blender, and all of the powdered ingredients in a small jar or Tupperware.
Ingredients:
1 scoop EFX Sports vanilla Pure Whey
1 apple
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 packet stevia, 2-3 packets of Monk Fruit sweetener (I like my stuff sweet!)
½ tsp xanthan gum
Directions:
Slice up the apple and put into the blender. Add a little water, the powdered ingredients, then add the rest of the water to hold down the powdered ingredients so they don’t stick all over the top of the blender. I add xanthan gum to increase the ‘full feeling’ factor. I’ve researched it thoroughly and the only people that shouldn’t take it are infants and those with a wheat, corn, or soy allergy. It is a polysaccharide composed of glucose, mannose, and glucuronic acid. Be careful not to use too much (anything more than 1 tsp) or it gets too stiff. It technically has no calories because it’s all fiber.
